Pickup Logistics Explained
From scheduling to loading to payment, here is exactly how our pickup process works so you know what to expect every step of the way.
How Scheduling Works
Request a Pickup
Call, email, or use our online form to request pickup. Share your location, approximate pallet count, and preferred dates. We respond within 24 hours with confirmation.
Confirm the Details
We confirm the pickup date, time window, truck type, and expected pallet count. You receive a confirmation email with your driver contact information and pickup reference number.
Day-of Communication
Your assigned driver contacts you 30-60 minutes before arrival. If access instructions are needed (gate codes, dock assignments, yard directions), share them in advance.
Loading & Count
Our driver arrives with the appropriate vehicle and equipment. We handle all loading. A count is performed on-site, and you receive a pickup receipt documenting exactly what was collected.
Payment Processing
Payment is processed based on the verified count and agreed pricing. Most sellers receive payment via ACH or check within 48 hours of pickup completion.
Fleet & Coverage
Flatbed Trucks
For open yards and locations without dock access. Our flatbeds carry forklifts for self-loading at any site.
53-Foot Dry Vans
Enclosed trailers for large-volume pickups. Capacity of 400-500 pallets per load for maximum efficiency.
Straight Trucks
Smaller vehicles ideal for tight urban locations, loading docks with height restrictions, or quantities under 200 pallets.
On-Board Forklifts
Many of our trucks carry their own forklift, so pickups are fully self-sufficient even at locations without material handling equipment.
Coverage Areas
Pallet Accumulation Program
For businesses that generate pallets on a regular basis, our accumulation program transforms your waste stream into a predictable, recurring revenue source.
Scheduled Pickups
We come to your facility on a set schedule -- weekly, biweekly, or monthly -- so pallets never pile up and your dock stays clear. Schedules are fully customizable to match your operations.
Locked-In Pricing
Your per-pallet buyback rate is locked in for the duration of the agreement, protecting you from market volatility. Rate reviews happen quarterly with advance notice of any adjustments.
No Minimum Per Visit
Even if your pallet volume varies from week to week, we still show up on schedule and pay for whatever we collect. There is no penalty for low-volume pickup visits.
Monthly Reporting
You receive detailed monthly reports showing quantities collected, payments made, pallet grades recovered, and environmental impact metrics including landfill diversion and CO2 prevented.
Storage Containers Available
For facilities with limited staging space, we can provide pallet storage containers or cages that keep accumulating pallets organized, safe, and ready for efficient pickup.
Dedicated Account Manager
Every accumulation program customer gets a dedicated account manager who monitors your program, adjusts schedules as needed, and ensures you are always getting the best available rates.
Environmental Credits & Impact
Selling your used pallets is not just good for your bottom line -- it is good for the planet. Every pallet you sell to us instead of discarding creates measurable environmental benefits.
Sustainability Reporting for Your Business
Many of our customers use our environmental impact data in their corporate sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, and green marketing materials. We provide detailed documentation of landfill diversion tonnage, CO2 prevention estimates, and resource conservation metrics for every pallet transaction. If your company has environmental goals or reporting obligations, selling pallets to Pallets Resale provides quantifiable data to support those initiatives.

Convenient Pickup Service
We send our trucks directly to your location to pick up surplus pallets. No minimum quantity, no hassle. Our team handles the loading, sorting, and transport so you can focus on your business.

What Affects Pallet Pricing?
We believe in transparent pricing. Here are the key factors that determine what you pay for used pallets, so there are no surprises.
Pallet Size
Standard 48x40 GMA pallets are the most widely available and typically the most affordable. Non-standard or specialty sizes may carry a premium due to limited supply.
Condition & Grade
Grade A (like-new) pallets cost more than Grade B (good condition) or Grade C (economy). The better the cosmetic and structural condition, the higher the per-unit price.
Order Volume
The more you buy, the lower the per-unit cost. Our tiered pricing structure provides meaningful discounts starting at 100 units, with the best rates available for orders of 1,000+.
Lumber Market Rates
Pallet prices track softwood and hardwood lumber commodity markets. When lumber prices rise, pallet prices adjust accordingly. We always offer the current market rate.
Delivery Distance
Shipping costs are factored into your quote based on distance from our nearest facility or hub. Local pickups have no delivery fee. Cross-country FTL shipments include transparent freight charges.
Special Requirements
Heat treatment (ISPM-15), custom branding, specific wood species, or particular nail patterns may add to the base price. We quote these add-ons separately and transparently.
Benefits of Buying in Bulk
Larger orders unlock significant advantages beyond just a lower per-unit price. Here is what bulk buyers get.
Deeper Discounts
Volume pricing tiers mean your per-pallet cost drops significantly. Orders of 1,000+ pallets qualify for our best rates, often 20-30% below standard pricing.
Priority Inventory Access
Bulk customers get first pick when popular sizes and high-grade pallets come into stock. You will never lose out on inventory to smaller buyers.
Dedicated Account Manager
Every bulk customer is assigned a dedicated point of contact who knows your requirements, tracks your orders, and proactively manages your pallet supply.
Scheduled Deliveries
Set up automatic recurring deliveries on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly schedule. We will handle logistics so you always have pallets when you need them.
Custom Specifications
Need pallets sorted by exact dimensions, specific wood species, or particular nail patterns? Bulk orders can be customized to your operational requirements.
Reduced Freight Costs
Full truckload shipping is far more efficient than LTL. Bulk orders often qualify for free or heavily discounted delivery, saving even more on your total cost.

Buying FAQ
Are used pallets as strong as new pallets?
Yes. Our grading process ensures that every pallet we sell meets structural integrity standards for its rated load capacity. Grade A and B pallets perform identically to new pallets in warehousing and shipping applications. The only difference is cosmetic.
Can I return pallets that do not meet expectations?
We stand behind our grading. If any pallets in your shipment do not meet the grade you ordered, we will replace them at no cost. Simply notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of any units in question.
Do you offer net payment terms?
Yes. Established customers with a credit application on file can qualify for Net 15 or Net 30 payment terms. First-time orders typically require payment on delivery or prepayment.
How do I know which grade is right for my application?
Grade A is ideal for retail, export, and automated systems where appearance and precision matter. Grade B is the best value for standard warehousing and shipping. Grade C works well for one-way shipping and cost-sensitive applications. Our team can help you choose.
Can you supply pallets on a recurring weekly or monthly schedule?
Absolutely. Many of our customers operate on recurring delivery programs. We lock in quantities, pricing, and delivery windows so you never need to worry about pallet supply. Adjustments can be made at any time.
Do you sell heat-treated pallets for international shipping?
Yes. We offer ISPM-15 heat-treated pallets ready for export. We can also heat-treat your existing pallets at our certified facility. See our Heat Treatment service page for complete details.
